Matrix raining code. With no JavaScript at all. Well, sorta; we actually have some, because the CSS nth-letter pseudo doesn't exist, more's the pity. So we fake it, gloriously. But if it existed, we wouldn't need any JavaScript here at all.
Also, I took the characters randomly from the very very clever
http://aem1k.com/雨/ which not only does the Matrix effect in 1024 bytes of JS, and uses non-Latin characters for all the source, but
uses its own source as the characters to display in the "Matrix". That's brilliant, that is.
So if the characters actually spell out something like "learn to read before using, Langridge, you horrible English imperialist", then I'm sorry.
Much love to the Firefox people for supporting animation unprefixed. Rather less love to the Blink people for not doing so. A negative amount of love to all browser people for not making 1em be the width of a character in a monospace font.
