Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal It also self-empties which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand which other robots can't. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. budget robot vacuum

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably hybrid. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missed corners and on walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or change the labels of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people, but it's one that can aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move, however.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, with sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
