It’s November! I’m looking forward to cheering on the inspiring marathon runners this weekend (including my brother: Go Evan!)

To rent or to sell?


That’s no longer really the question in New York City, where owners are increasingly listing their homes for both.

So far this year, through Sept. 1, the number of homes listed simultaneously for sale and for rent increased 51 percent to 1,087, according to a Bloomberg analysis of StreetEasy data.

At first, the idea of a 26.2 mile race through all five boroughs of New York City seemed impossible. The wild suggestion unsurprisingly came from the quirky George Spitz, a local runner, government gadfly and guy known to call his friends at 2 a.m. just to chat. Read more here
