World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. item upgrader will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have an initial level and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
