Women can find forums and support groups online, such as ADDmirable Women, and local support groups for ADD/ADHD through ADDA or CHADD.<br /><br />Women with ADD need to realize that they are not the only people with the condition. Adult ADD is not well understood by doctors, who are often looking for signs more typical of boys' behavior. Additionally hormonal changes during puberty, PMS and perimenopause can be a source of confusion or even worsen ADD symptoms.<br /><br />
