Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

While robots won't be able to substitute for a conventional vacuum for picking up ground-in debris like metal screws and pieces of orzo pasta, they're excellent at sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. The best models are equipped with intelligent navigation technology that helps them avoid cords, toys and other household obstacles.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a fantastic robot vacuum that comes with a range of innovative features that make it much easier to maintain than other models. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most efficient features we've encountered in the form of a robot and it is compatible on both hard floors and carpets. It's also easy to set up and operate and the app will guide you step-by-step through the procedure. Its ability to restart where it left off in our tests is a great feature. It could do this for 77 minute on one cleaning, before the battery ran out.

The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums we tested comes with a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on the base of its charging once it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L that is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

The i3+ EVO, just like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors that create maps. It can also allow you to navigate through neat rows. However click to read i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7 also has the ability to use its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO can't.

Although the i3+ EVO is superior in removing debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed but it's not the best when it comes to cleaning corners and edges. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It moved chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also got stuck on cords and toys during testing.

2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro

If you're looking to expand your robot vacuum collection or just starting out with the Q5 Pro is a great option. It packs serious power, a smart navigation system, and handy automation into a sleek design at a price that is affordable. It's the best model for the money on the market currently and even beats some Roborock models that are much more expensive in a variety of ways.

This robot does an excellent job of cleaning floors with no dust, and its avoidance technology helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets an excellent score in our tests on navigation. The only drawback is that it's a little more raucous than the other models we test and doesn't perform similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro has a very large 770ml dust bin that means you don't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is extremely generous when compared to other models we've tried. When the battery is running low, it will automatically return to its dock where it recharges before resuming cleaning where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. This along with other advances made it perform extremely well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping test. You can schedule cleanings and set up no-go zones. You can also view the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, however it does not support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its footnote on its website in the beginning of November to reflect the fact that the feature was delayed until 2025. HomeKit is not compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop and is affordable, the TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus is the right option. It has a wide array of features at a reasonable cost and features a stylish design. It is possible to control the device using different buttons on the device or through the app and even make use of voice commands. The device has long battery life, and the vacuum container can be automatically empty.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus is a ideal vacuum cleaner for everyday mess. It can be paired with a smart home hub such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for easy voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus can be easily set up and connect to a variety of flooring surfaces using the automatic mode. This guarantees that the most effective results are achieved for each room and type of flooring.

You can choose from three cleaning modes to suit your needs. The vacuuming mode uses the smart sensor to detect of obstacles, such as stairs, furniture edges, and stairs. The mopping mode can be used to automatically clean the floor or to get rid of stubborn liquid spills and stains. Another option is to combine both functions for a deep and thorough cleaning.

With a powerful suction and 3 settings for dry mopping, the TP-Link RV30 Plus effortlessly removes pet hair, dust, crumbs and other particles from all types of flooring. It can also clean carpets without damaging them due to the special mop.

During its first mapping run, TP-Link RV30 Plus scans your home and saves it with its dual navigation system of LiDAR and Gyro. You can edit the map in the app and merge or split rooms according to your preferences. You can also design virtual walls and no-go zones that will stop the RV30 Plus from wandering in areas you don't wish to visit.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is one of best fully-featured machines for hard flooring. It comes with a cutting-edge mapping system that can map your home across several floors. The base station is well-designed, and automates cleaning to a large extent. It offers excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.

This model uses an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home, creating efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was highly rated for its navigation and coverage. It also did a great job in avoiding obstacles like furniture. It also has the ability to return to the base station, which is a nice feature in case it is unable to recharge its battery during cleaning.

The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a certain area of your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a certain route. This is a great option if you have narrow hallways or stairs. It did a good job of cleaning carpets during our carpet cleaning test, but it struggled with thicker pile carpets and rugs. It is also possible to set it to automatically lift the mop pad once it encounters carpet, which is a great option if you wish to avoid mopping your carpets.

The iMop has an onboard dust container and a water tank that it fills and refills at the end of each cleaning session. The onboard dust bin holds up to 2.5 liters of debris. It should only need emptying every couple of cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle up to a dozen mopping cycles before it runs dry. The iMop requires less maintenance and cleaning than the typical robot vacuum, which could be a major selling point for busy families.

The iMop's smartphone app is simple to use and packed with options for configuration. It offers multiple suction modes, mopping settings, and also scheduling. It also lets you build virtual walls and no-go zones to ensure that the robot doesn't wander into areas that aren't safe for it. In addition, the application gives you access to your iMop's status as well as error messages.
