The Long Island City of now will certainly be a lot different than the Long Island City of the future. This residential and commercialneighborhood just over the Queensboro Bridge has been experiencing an increase in popularity before the announcement regarding Amazon creating another headquarters there. It's certain to say that rents and condo prices will steadily rise with the same being said for the surrounding areas. WELCOME AMAZON TO NYC |

Who doesn't order from Amazon? I don't know anyone. Well, now New Yorkers are proud to say that Amazon is creating another home for themselves in Long Island City. It will be called HQ2. The Seattle-based company says it will invest about $2.5 billion and create more than 25,000 high-paying jobs at each of its two new locations in Long Island City and Arlington, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. The arrival of Amazon in LIC could establish NY as a major technology hub. Over 200 bids were submitted for their city to be chosen, but luckily Virginia and New York State are the lucky winners.
