World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and the ability to enchant.

They also offer bonus effects and enhancements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds a level to the gauge for upgrading.

Weapon

When a weapon is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus and a scaling factor that influences other stats. Certain upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional benefits. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. The majority of them require that the item has an upgrade slot and meets certain requirements. If a weapon piece has an upgrade component in it, it is able to be replaced with another but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-tier salvage tool on the item the item.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that improves certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This can be done via the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier the process can be repeated up to four times.

After the weapon has reached its maximum upgrade, it can then be modified to give different bonuses and effects, or to improve specific stats. A variety of these upgrades can be applied simultaneously, and the effects vary depending on the nature of the weapon.

Two Blacksmiths can be upgraded in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the damage a weapon deals.

In general, it's advisable to upgrade your weapon damage first. Then you can increase your armor defense, and then those secondary stats required by your build. It is not unusual to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon prior to upgrading other equipment. This helps maximize DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments that can increase a weapon's stats as well as damage.

Armor

Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats of certain weapons, armors trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, in loot drops, or as quest rewards.

Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor upgrades to the next level following an upgrade. This can be done for any type of armor, but certain items are not upgradeable at all (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).

Most armor upgrades provide a small increase to the item's defense or strength. However, some upgrade components can offer significant improvements in strength or defense, especially when upgrading an epic item.

In view site… to increasing the defense of an item, certain upgrades also give special abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can be extremely useful in combat. For instance they can boost the speed of attack or block. Some upgrades have effect that are passive and can be useful for example, decreasing damage when wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.

Upgrades to armor can require multiple attempts, depending on the type. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a base defense between 67-77 and the list goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations holds a powerful fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular belief, armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. The reality is that certain armors have very significant enhancements to poison or curse, fire, or magic damage reduction, which makes them invaluable for certain builds. There are other ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration or the challenger trait to lower the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

By placing a potion on the stand for brewing, you will be able to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a new tier of potion effect, and can be repeated for more tiers of potency.

The potion also gets a custom color code, which the player can choose using /give and which alters the area-of-effect clouds and arrows produced by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color is also applied to the particle effects of the potions.

The water bottle, a common, thick and awkward potions now have a new texture for brewing. In the Creative Inventory, potion healing and potion weakness have been added. Addition of lingering potions, that can be prepared using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also included is a thick potion which has the status effect of Mining Fatigue. Problems related to this update are tracked on the Bug Tracker.

Trinket

A trinket is a small inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a necklace or ring. Or, it could be a tiny banner to mark the yard of a lateen boat. It can also be a gilded trinket that is connected to the mast of a vessel.

This bizarre trinket seems to be influencing denizens in this maze by making them more common. This trinket at the moment, makes all types of mimics more prevalent and gives every floor an probability of Y% that it contains an ebony replica. This trinket is priced at a moderate amount of energy to upgrade.

The magic from this enchanted scepter seems to be affecting the dungeon itself and making it more likely to create grass and water. At its current level this trinket makes X% of the floors become filled with water or grass, however it won't affect enchantments or glyphs, cursed weapons or armor, or items that are created to solve hazard rooms.

While it appears like an ordinary eye of a newt, this mysterious object appears to affect your vision in ways beyond just reducing your field view. This trinket, at its current level, boosts the health benefits gained from drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This trinket is not stacked with the Increased Senses.

After you have completed the Mastery Cave after completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside crates and chests in Skull Cavern. They can't be found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket in the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will create an unpredictable effect on the trinket either extending its lifespan or strengthening its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as many times as you'd like, but it will always have a new effect.

You can upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and boost the trinket's power by just a little.
