The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well, but it's something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. carpets.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to keep in mind that it has periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be changed every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which has an elastomer pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan that it uses to create a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able to capture a large amount of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets entangled in a hazard like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. remote hoover 's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
