World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enhancements.

They also offer rewards and upgrades. They can be purchased by contacting the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapon

When an item is upgraded, it gains a base damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor that can affect other stats. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects and others provide additional features. These upgrades can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. Most require that the equipment has an upgrade slot available and meet certain requirements. Once a weapon or armor piece has an upgrade component in it, the item can be upgraded with a different one however the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered with the help of a Black-Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a high-tier salvage tool on the item it self.

In addition to the normal upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded using the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats, such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon, this can be done up to four times.

Once the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be reforged using a variety of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the kind of damage a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.

In general, it's best to improve your weapon's damage first. Then you can improve your armor defense, and then the secondary stats required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading any other equipment. This can help increase DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that are extremely effective in boosting the weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item Upgrades let players enhance the base stats of specific pieces of armor weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, such as more damage or an enhancement to the appearance of. Item Upgrades are available by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors and loot drop, or as rewards for quests.

Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor will upgrade to the next level after an upgrade. However, certain upgrade components can offer significant improvements in strength or defense, especially when upgrading an epic item.

In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, some upgrades also provide special abilities that can be activated while wearing an armor. These abilities can be very beneficial in combat. For instance they can increase attack speed or block. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, like cutting down on the amount of damage sustained while wearing armor or granting the ability to deflect attacks.

Depending on the type of armor, upgrading an item could require several tries. For instance the case of a player wanting to upgrade an existing Steelclash armor to Dragonscale The first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with an initial defense range of 59 and 67. The second attempt would result in a new Dragonscale armor with a base defense between 67-77 and it goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To upgrade their armor players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains that are located in the game. Each of these locations contains a powerful fair who can change the quality of an item of armor for you.

Despite popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. The fact of the matter is that certain armors provide significant boosts to poison, curse, fire or magical damage reduction, making them very useful for specific builds. There are other ways to boost armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by putting it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effect and can be repeated for higher levels of potency.

The potion also gets a custom color code that the player can pick using /give and which can affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color also affects the particle effects of the potions.

The water bottle, the mundane potions that are thick and awkward now have a brand new brewing texture.
