It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.<br /><br /><br /><br />Our testers were impressed with the simple access to the side panel that can be flipped up and down by pressing a button. This was particularly helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without disturbing them.<br /><br />The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however, it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the bed properly. This is a great feature to have for peace mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.<br /><br />The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the legs that telescopic. It also has an option to tilt to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode to soothe them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.<br /><br />Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does have quite lengthy instructions. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still quite portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's also small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is a plus when you have to transport it. The only negative our testers found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see the baby from your bed.<br /><br />The Shnuggle Air<br /><br />If you're looking for an ideal bedside crib that can expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a sleeper crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and strengthening your bond with your newborn.<br /><br />The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other cribs. The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to reduce colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby at night.<br /><br />The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions.
