Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you can decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.

2. related resource site , the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.

The Roborock model, like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also very quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple to use and understand The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a plethora of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
