World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear rating up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and damage to PvP. They also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. A lot of weapons also have an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of their base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. In the case of chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circular arrows within the item menu. This will reroll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to work on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. upgrade item can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.

When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you make use of it again or break the bottle in which it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display. The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a function but isn't essential such as a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is an economical alternative to buying new ones. It can be done by players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the old one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded when the old ones are not needed which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and other equipment that they will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than buying a new one.
