It's a little slower than average, but only requires one hand to open or close. When closed, it's a small pram that can easily fit into tight spaces.

This model isn't suitable for infants however it is suitable from 3 months and above - you can always buy one of Maclaren's umbrella strollers for infants should you require an infant stroller for this stage. It's an excellent choice for older babies and children as they'll be content to sleep on the seat, either at home or when traveling.

For a great combination of style and practicality, this 2-in-1 stroller is the best. Its sleek, modern design is stylish and its top-quality materials ensure it can stand up to everyday use as well. It's also adaptable, meaning you can add a car seat for infants or carrycot once your baby is old enough. M&P Pramette

The M&P Pramette is a great pushchair/pram combo for families with two kids or first-time parents. It comes with a carrycot that's suitable for sleeping at night and easily converts into a double pushchair when the time is right. It's not the cheapest option, but its stylish design and features make it worth the cost.

Claire found this pram very easy to handle on different surfaces and in narrow spaces like narrow shop aisles. The swivel wheels made it easier to navigate it with precision. Its compact folding size makes it easy to store at home. The huge air-filled tyres guarantee an enjoyable ride and are able to handle off-road surfaces, too. The hood can be easily lowered to the baby's foot to protect against sun rays or for a cozy snooze.

Another great feature is the reversible seat unit that lets you change the direction your child's face is. The reclining seat gives support for the back and head and allows your child to relax in their carrycot or seat. Claire also loved the spacious shopping basket which is accessible from the seat or carrycot unit in any position and can accommodate a full pack of nappies and a changing bag!

The XploryX premium pram is available from Stokke. Thule Shine

The Shine stroller is a brand known for its stylish, practical products. It's one of the lightest strollers on market, and feels solid and robust in your hands despite its simple design. It's also extremely versatile and can be used from birth thanks to the accessories included which transform it into a bassinet Newborn Inlay, or Newborn Nest and a Maxi Cosi car seat adapter (accessories sold separately).

The Shine is not like other lightweight strollers when it comes to cargo storage. 2 in 1 stroller -pound capacity of the Shine allows you to bring everything you require on a day trip without worrying about putting anything in the wrong place.

The wheels are easy to attach to the frame. They simply clip on from the box. If you opt for the optional bassinet the frame snaps on easily and has carry handles like those of the Moses basket. And when you're done the pram folds to the perfect size, allowing you to fit it in the smallest of vehicles.

Thule's air purifier canopy is a highlight also, as it has an inbuilt fan that purifies the air you breathe, removing bacteria, viruses, pollen and other harmful nasties. Thule claims that it can clean up 150 liters of air every minute and can connect to an app that will show your local air quality.

The only downside is the price. While it's cheaper than some other 2-in-1 prams, a entire kit costs more than PS1,000. It's a bit difficult to swallow when there are alternatives like the Thule Spring which is lighter and more compact and costs less than half as much.

Thule's strollers are famous for their durability and I've seen them through the wringer at the Thule Hillerstop headquarters in Sweden. To test the quality and strength of their strollers, they drop them from high places and then crash them down slopes. They also traverse a bumpy track in the snow. They certainly look nice!
