Best Value Bean to Cup Coffee Machines

If you're looking to enjoy a one-press, hands-off coffee that can be customized to your liking this machine is for you. For more information, read our Beem Espresso Grinder Profession review.

Its swappable bean hoppers allow you to try different blends at the drop of a hat and its profiles mean that you can continue where you left beginning. Additionally, it's less costly than capsule machines and makes use of real coffee beans instead of pre-ground.

1. Smeg BCC02

Created by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek, compact and striking machine pairs the brand's inimitable retro style with cutting-edge technology. This machine handles all stages of the coffee-making process from grinding beans to the tamping of a puck and texturing milk before dispensed the right amount.

The machine also sports a stylish brushed aluminium front and comes in red, black or taupe, which means it's easy to integrate into the majority of kitchen designs. The machine does not come without flaws, however. The majority of reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a cup to bean maker (and it doesn't come with an ice cube).

But there were also plenty of glowing reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of using this machine. The intuitive digital display provides an easy-to-follow guideline and feedback throughout the making process, allowing you to make your drink perfect each time. The machine will even tell you to alter the size of the grind, if that's not what you prefer. It's like having a personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building skills and Harry Potter's invisible cape).

If you like milky drinks this model comes with a steam wand that's adjustable up and down to accommodate all drinking vessels, but not the drinking horn of Vikings. We were also awed by the speed and efficiency with which the frothing was done. It makes a delicious, full-flavoured espresso with a fantastic crema.

The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and is a great value at a price that is currently PS499. Its only real flaw is that it does not provide the same level of customisation like other bean-to-cup machines we have tried. It has a 15 bar pump, rather than the usual 19 bars which isn't as effective to make high-quality espressos. Other than that it's a fantastic bean to cup machine for those who like their coffee strong and dark. Click here to see Lavazza's fantastic deal.

2. Melitta Barista TS Smart

The Barista TS Smart has a number of characteristics that distinguish it from the rest of the competitors. Its most unique feature may be the fact that it is able to be controlled from your smartphone with the Melitta Connect App. This allows you to change the settings and then dispense different coffee recipes that are stored in the machine.

This makes the machine flexible and adaptable to your tastes. There are a variety of options to alter the intensity of your drink, cup sizes and even whether you'd like milk to be added. The machine has two airtight containers of beans that are automatically chosen to suit different specialities. The machine will default to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, a German variation of flat white or long black. However, bean to cup coffee machine are able to select any beans you want. There is also a chute that can be used for pre-ground beans if you prefer to make your own.

Users have also been impressed by the speed of the machine. It's faster than other machine they have ever used. Another benefit is that it will alert you when one of its hoppers is nearly empty, ensuring that you don't get caught out by running out of your preferred beverage.

The only thing that could be a problem for some individuals is the price. This machine costs nearly PS999. But, it's cheaper than similar Jura machines that have the same number of features.

Barista TS smart is backed by a two-year guarantee. This is more than the average one year guarantee, so it is a great sign of confidence from the manufacturer. The machine comes with a cleaning tablet, and a descaler. This makes it simple to maintain the machine. This is an excellent machine for those who are looking for a high-quality and flexible bean to cup machine that's priced at a reasonable price.

3. Jura GIGA 6

The Jura GIGA 6 is an amazing espresso machine that utilizes the power of artificial intelligence to prepare the finest specialty coffees. It learns your preferences and rearranges the menu of coffees to allow you to select your preferred drinks. You can also select the size of your grind you prefer, water temperature, and coffee foam volumes. The smart rinsing, cleaning and sanitizing programs are activated by pressing the button. This makes maintaining your coffee machine easier than ever.

A unique feature of the Giga 6 is that it has two coffee and milk Spouts, allowing it to create two different coffee recipes simultaneously. This is possible thanks to the dual heating and fluid systems inside the machine. Spouts are adjustable in height and width in order to fit different cups. Additionally, there is a spout to pour hot water which can be used to make tea or iced coffee.

Another impressive aspect of the Giga 6 is the ability to customize and duplicate your favorite coffees. This is particularly beneficial for those who drink the same beverage in the morning and evening. For example, you can create an original flat white using regular beans, and then a duplicate with decaf. You can alter the ingredients such as the type of milk or the amount sugar or cocoa.

Both the Giga6 and Z10 offer a wide range of customization options. For starters, you can choose from a variety of specialty drinks that are one-touch. In addition, you can modify the strength of your coffee and can choose between 10 different levels of milk foam.

The GIGA 6 and Z10 come with a 4.3 inch touchscreen display in full-colour and a rotary switch that makes it easy to navigate the numerous features of the machines. The GIGA 6 is able to connect to your smartphone via WiFi. This allows you to download a variety of apps to customize your drinks at home. The only downside to this machine is that some users have complained about the drip tray leaking. If you experience this issue you should contact the customer service team right away.

4. Nespresso Inissia

The Nespresso Inissia offers coffee and espresso lovers a convenient and affordable method of making their favorite cafe drinks at home. Its high-pressure pump and patented extraction system ensure that every cup of coffee is rich, flavorful and silky smooth. Additionally, the Inissia is quick to heat up and has a large capacity water tank that allows you to brew multiple cups without having to refill frequently.

The slim and sleek Inissia is one of the most space-saving pod machines on the market which is why it is ideal for kitchens that have limited counter space. It is also simple to use, requiring only minimal effort needed to set up and operate the machine. Once the machine is fully charged, it is able to make the perfect cup of coffee in only 25 seconds, making it ideal for those who need an instant caffeine boost.

Additionally, the Inissia provides a wide range of premium coffee capsules that match any taste, ranging from strong and intense to mild and aromatic. The machine is energy efficient and will shut off after nine minutes when not being used. It is powered by low amounts of electricity. Its versatile design also includes the ability to fold down the drip tray so that it can be used to hold taller recipe glasses as well as an empty capsule container that can hold up to 11 used capsules.

Place a capsule inside the machine, and then press one of the two buttons to initiate the coffee brewing process. The Espresso button will dispense an espresso shot while the Lungo button will run a larger amount of water to make a lungo-style coffee. You can pause or stop the brewing process at any time and if you require more or less water you can alter the volume from the control panel.

Another advantage of the Inissia is its easy cleaning. Simply run a few minutes of water through the machine without a capsule every day to wash it and get rid of any remaining residue. Descale the machine every three months to get rid of any lime or calcium deposits. To learn how to do this go here to watch our instructional video.
