Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) sits close to your bed so you can safely tend to your baby during feedings at night and nappy changes without needing to get out of the bed. They are also great for creating confidence as your baby grows more comfortable in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep together with their baby while making sure that they're asleep safely. The smooth glide motion helps to soothe your baby to sleep. Its innovative features let you monitor them without leaving your own bed.

The sliding side panel of the cot can be lifted and lowered by a simple push of a single button. This makes it simple to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed and it has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and has mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable so that you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for the cot.

In contrast to other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib if it is not attached to your bed, and it's full of amazing features that were specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is ideal for infants, it will not last long once your baby turns six months old, and you will need to invest in a bigger cot. bedside cot crib cots4tots , Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable price for a cot with the most innovative features. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour would suit most modern homes. She did point out that it's not a good idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure an uninterrupted night's sleep. It features a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your little one or get them out of bed it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made of soft material and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak and a range of melange fabrics that will blend with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer support number in case you experience any issues.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib for your bed, like being able to be connected to your bed using a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option that can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine washable, a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice to keep your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension kit, it can transform into an cot. While it won't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has many excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be lowered and raised at the touch of the button. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them.

The side panel can be lowered by itself, but it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. This is a wonderful feature to have in place for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feedings.

Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It also comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also very large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still fairly portable and can be moved from room room easily. It's also foldable into a travel bag, which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only negative our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to observe your baby from the bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for a crib that can grow with your child. It's a sleeper crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening your bond with your baby's new.

Contrary to other cribs for bed like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps reduce colic and reflux. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us about an hour to assemble and was reasonably straightforward. The only drawback was the absence of captions in writing on a few images which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of top quality.

In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the difficulty of getting in and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down for a nap.

The gliding motion was found to be extremely helpful in lulling babies into sleep following meals during the midday or at night. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a big selling point for our tired test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that isn't rocking, nor does it come with extra features like a sound machine.
