Best Lightweight Single Stroller

It is the lightest and most compact travel stroller available. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a neat rectangle and the wheels spin more easily than some other styles.

It also comes with a huge under-seat storage area and an adjustable shoulder strap which makes it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy and could wake a toddler who is sleeping.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller that is also a compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The back under-seat basket has a spring loaded mechanism, so you can pull the basket down to store bags for diapers or backpacks and then it will open up to secure its contents. It also has a tray for accessories for children as well as an adjustable backrest pad for the seat, which are more options than you typically find on a lightweight stroller.

In single person buggy pushchairsandprams.uk , it has a great canopy that is able to open and close to give you the sun protection you need, and the handlebar is adjustable in height four positions to ensure a good fit. However, we weren't impressed with the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We were of the opinion that the suspension and wheels did not do a great job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

It's a great stroller for travel since it arrives in a box fully assembled and requires only few steps to get it set to use. The seat can be moved forward and backwards to adjust the recline. It's pretty flat. It's a cinch to fold and unfold, due to two buttons on the frame. It can also be put into an easy-to-carry bag when it's not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers we tested, and it easily can meet the requirements of many airlines for gate-checking and cabin storage on airplanes. Contact your airline to determine if there are any restrictions prior to your flight. As a former writer for commerce and current mom of three children, Phoebe Sklansky has a deep love for everything related to shopping and parenting as well as home. She is a contributor to Verywell Family and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This stroller is an excellent option for those who require an easy-to-travel stroller. It comes with all the features parents would want in a stroller, including all-terrain wheels and front suspension for a smooth ride. It is also incredibly lightweight, at less than 12 pounds. And it has a convenient fold that can be folded with one hand and a self-standing fold. It has two cup holders on each tray to accommodate the parent and child.

Its build quality, however it is a bit on the low side and it didn't fare well in our tests of maneuverability. It also has a swivel frame which makes pushing it over rough surfaces feel like lifting a heavy weight. This may be okay for those who only use the stroller on paved sidewalks, but for most people, it will likely not provide a comfortable experience.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy with a peek-aboo window for additional sun protection. The multi-position seat can be used by children up to 50 pounds. It also has a five-point safety restraint. This is a great option for older toddlers that have outgrown their car seats for infants.

It is compact and folds down in one step. It is able to be collapsed by pressing a button. It also has a convenient foot-activated brake that is simple and easy to set and release.

The handle is lower than most of the strollers we have tested and some parents may feel uncomfortable using it for long periods. It does come with an adjustable handle lock that keeps it in place when open however. This is a great feature if you intend to use the stroller on uneven or rough terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate stroller for parents on the go. The stroller is compact and can be folded up and down with ease and fits in the overhead compartments of planes, or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It comes with a carry bag that zips up for convenient storage. It can be used with the infant car adapter right from birth and provides excellent sun protection thanks to its canopy. The only downside for parents who have children is that they find the look cheap and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than the other lightweight single strollers. It was designed specifically for urban living and luxurious travel. It's among the easiest strollers that fold (and includes a convenient carry case) It also has a nice amount of storage space, including cups holder. The seat is comfortable for both the child and the adult and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that can be used by infants using the car seat adapter. The handlebar cannot be adjusted, and may be an issue for some parents who are small.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it is packed with amazing features that help children travel more easily. Its spacious seat reclines to a flat position, and comes with additional padding to make those naps on the plane last longer. The canopy that extends can provide good sun protection, and the parent tray has plenty of storage. It also features a footrest with springs that doubles as a handle when it's folded. The footrest, however, seems vulnerable to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is a stylish stroller with high-end design and quality. Its compact design allows it to easily navigate through tight spaces and narrow sidewalks, but its sturdy structure allows it to withstand rough terrain without compromising the safety of your child. Front and rear spring-action suspension creates a more comfortable ride for both of you, and its sturdy materials ensure it can withstand every day wear and tear without losing its shape. Furthermore it can be enlarged to accommodate other accessories such as a bassinet or infant car seat.

Even with a baby on the way, the Minu was easy to fold and maneuver. Its squat, almost square fold, that folds into thirds, is among the easiest in our tests and allows it to easily be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or public transportation. It comes with a single-action color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in multiple positions, and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it easy to determine your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ canopy lowered quite a ways to shield Cora's face from the sun. The medium-sized mesh peekaboo window is attached magnetically to the canopy and closes without the need for noisy Velcro.

With a weight of less than 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is a breeze to carry thanks to its built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can be stored in the trunk of your vehicle and comes with a storage container and Uppababy TravelSafe which extends the warranty of the manufacturer by two years and provides the cost of replacement if something is damaged during air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is a well-known brand that makes a number of different strollers. This lightweight stroller is ideal for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can take their children. It is easy to maneuver, comes with plenty of storage space, and isn't difficult to fold. It's not ideal if you want a car seat-compatible model, or a double stroller. It isn't compatible with infant car seats. Your baby should be able to sit upright on their backs before you can use it.

This stroller comes with some great features and an impressive price tag. It earned a higher score in our maneuverability review than some other models with similar specs, and is a great choice for smooth paved surfaces. It comes with a large parent tray, canopy, and plenty of storage. The handlebar is shorter than average and the front wheel suspension is more rigid however it's comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two children of different ages you may find a side by side stroller to be the best choice to take them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It has a lot of features and a small footprint that allows it to fit into places where other side-byside strollers can't.

It has a huge canopy that has a peek-aboo view, and tons of storage. It's heavier than other side-bysides but has a decent capacity and weight limit. It can carry the majority of kids up to 50 pounds. It is possible to add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for infants.

If you're looking for a more luxurious version this stroller the Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is a worthy alternative. It offers the same great features as this model and can be fitted with a bassinet, allowing you to take your baby home from the hospital in style.
