World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. equipment enhancement and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item it will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you don't need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like dolphins). This item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrader for items allows players to raise the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition which means that the player has to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
