Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule<br /><br />The official list below only shows time periods that are reserved and not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor if a course has its final exam within this time.<br /><br />Be sure to read the Goethe exam guidelines on each exam's webpage prior to making a decision to register. Register for the appropriate level of exam.<br /><br />Locations<br /><br />The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Please refer to the individual exam pages for more details regarding exam content, exam terms and conditions, and additional guidelines. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or visual or hearing impairment, contact the exam provider directly and be sure to provide a detailed document when you register.<br /><br />The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers an option to "View My Teaching Schedule" that allows faculty to find their exam schedules. Additionally, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for evening classes are scheduled during the regular class meeting times of the final exam weeks.<br /><br />Please take note that the Projected University Examination Schedule is provided for a tentative guide and that final exam dates are subject to change.<br /><br />Registration<br /><br />Students are encouraged to look up the exam schedule online. It is important to note that the schedule for exams may change at any moment. Students should therefore check with their instructors to confirm the correct time and date of their exam. Students should also print the official list to take with them to their exam.<br /><br />Students should also be familiar with the guidelines and terms of the exam, in addition to the schedule. They are available on the webpage for each exam. Students acknowledge that they have read and agree to the conditions and terms of registration.<br /><br />Exam locations make every effort to accommodate participants who have special requirements. The nature and extent of these requirements must be noted on the registration form, and then confirmed by an attestation of a doctor. The exam locations must also be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.<br /><br /><br /><br />If students are scheduled to take three tests on the same day, they should contact their department or instructor to arrange for a make-up test. It is possible to take three examinations on the same day. However, this can result in a lot of stress and can affect the quality. The professor might not be able to give an opportunity to take a makeup test on a different day.<br /><br />Students must review their course material before taking the test and work on their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests the ability to speak, read and write in German. The examination results are reported on a scale of A1 to C2. Those without a valid photo ID will be disqualified.<br /><br />Fees<br /><br />If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to be awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fees.<br /><br />Practice tests let you get an understanding of the style of the test, the language, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your knowledge, spot gaps and increase your chances of acing the test.<br /><br />Please note that the fee for exams is non-refundable. Exam results are only sent via email and not by phone.<br /><br />
