World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example the perfect rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. This bonus could exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of the base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button that has arrows that circle in the item menu. item upgrade will be rerolled and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game, and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in cold environments with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with your friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also get some advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a participant, produce an immediate effect. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a table or the Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you use it again or break the bottle within which it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. For instance the splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be mixed in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for instance, a ring or cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players should take into account the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket until it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
