The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations applied.<br /><br />The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM.
