It is one of the three places in the world that have hosted two Winter Games.<br /><br />Horsham<br /><br />The town is home to a thriving economy and has excellent commuter connections to London, Gatwick Airport, and the South East Coast. Recently, Horsham was named among the top places to live in England and has been awarded top marks for quality of schools, low crime rate and affordable housing. The Carfax (an open pedestrianised area) is home to numerous eateries, shops, and cafes.<br /><br />Historically, Horsham was known for its traditional values and its closed-mindedness (Monty Python's Life of Brian was banned in the region following its the film's release). But, it does show signs of progress, particularly with regards to its diversity of culture. The town's main theatre, the Hawthorns, has an international reputation for attracting prominent performers and putting on entertaining performances.<br /><br />In the town's galleries and museums visitors can explore local history and culture through numerous exhibits. The Keith House is an 18th-century historic mansion which has remained almost unchanged since it was built. The town also has numerous tranquil parks, including Lukens Park and the Horsham Power Line Trail.<br /><br />The town's success was based on industries such as brewing, brickmaking and iron-smelting. The town still has a significant manufacturing sector, even though many of these industries have stopped to exist. The Horsham branch is part of the pharmaceutical company Novartis. It was previously part of Ciba-Geigy. The RSPCA and the British television station ITV both have their headquarters in Horsham.<br /><br />Today, Horsham is home to numerous independent stores and restaurants as well as several larger chains, including the Costa Coffee chain. The town has a large student population and is a popular spot for young people to reside. The town is served by a variety of railway stations which include Horsham, Horsham Crawley and Christ's Hospital.<br /><br />Horsham is the heart of Jeremy Quin's constituency in the parliamentary elections that was created in 1983. The borough of Horsham is also home to the Bishop of Horsham who is responsible for the majority of West Sussex and some parishes in parts of East Sussex and Kent.<br /><br />Bromley<br /><br />Bromley is a London Borough that is located in the south-east of the city. There are many parks and green spaces in the area, and it is served by numerous railway stations. It is also a great area for commuters, since it is close to the M25 and M20 autoways. It is well-known for its excellent schools and reasonably priced properties. It is a great place to raise your family. It has a mix of exclusive independent stores and chain stores and also huge investments in its historic buildings.<br /><br />The town centre is home to an area of shopping known as The Glades, with a mixture of stores that are mainstream like Marks and Spencer, H&amp;M, Primark and Wilko alongside high-end brands like Joules, Whistles and the White Company. On St Marks Square, there is a Vue multi-screen cinema.<br /><br />Bromley, despite being a tiny city, has a vibrant culture scene.
