It comes in oak or charcoal with a range of melange fabrics that will blend with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the bed and the zips secured to ensure baby safety. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.<br /><br />Our testers appreciated the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and down with a single push of a switch. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them up.<br /><br />The side panel can be lowered on its own however it isn't recommended as this increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place if it's attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent feedings at night.<br /><br />Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases and beds with drawers.
