Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you improve it without having to depend on costly trades or drops. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades to equipment grant a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your weapons and armour better. You can locate them by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors, or finding them in the form of item-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment with them, or through a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from an item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be used to boost the value of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to enhance the amount of experience gained from upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chance of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense capabilities of the weapon.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In enhancing equipment , an item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for example, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore best to upgrade using organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next rank of weapon or gear, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has a maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgradeable items is determined by their upgradeable rank, and the kind of upgrade they can receive. For instance, the most expensive possible weapon upgrade is a tier 10 weapon. The most commonly used upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at the minimum once. The upgrade boosts the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item or set piece is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.

Upgrades to a weapon may increase its damage base, which could be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a greater defense level than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, but they might not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.

If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus it is able to be rerolled only once and its guarantee will be reset to 0. The same amount of power die is used to roll an item as it would be to upgrade it. However, the new item has different bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased using Gold. The NPC will also give an extra reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

If players have enough tokens for rerolling, they can reroll any item that they've accumulated during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced with a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are available in the shop for a small sum of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new item will have the same extra bonuses as the original, but the stats will also differ.

In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identification of any equipment by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification as a weapon to armor or reverse it. Its base stats and requirements remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.

The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipment equipped. This is done by engaging with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. This will cost a certain amount of crests as well as Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and kind. Each step will give 5percent more damage to weapons.

Upgrades can increase the capability of an item, but they also can decrease its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to balance the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded to realize their potential. A player might want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to explore what else it can become.

The primary reason why people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they're trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play ball. The only other options are to spend money or grind a lot. For this reason, rerolling is a very popular choice in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I think it was meant to to increase the value of rare items, but as equipment generally drops quickly and can only be upgraded one level up, you'll usually replace the item before it gets too old. It's not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will be greater than the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.

When you click on the upgrade option on an item, you will get a small screen with the upgrade template for the item and the crest and Valorstone costs to boost the level of the item. Weapons and armor will have different prices, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current base ilvl.

The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be decreased by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For instance weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will decrease its ilvl by 8 - 8%.

In addition to the base ilvl increase the item will also receive upgrades in other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block, and parry rating. These enhancements are also based on the upgrade template.

The amount of defense and damage the item receives when leveled up can be observed below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Apart from the practice equipment, all other weapons and armor gain the same stats once leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can command a much higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other pieces of armor, like tiaras or circlets.
