Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) sits near your bed so you can be able to provide care to baby during night feeds and nappy changes without getting out of your bed. These cribs are fantastic for fostering independence in your child as they become more comfortable in their own bed.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to co-sleep with their newborn whilst ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth glide can help soothe your baby to sleep and its ingenious features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving the your bed.

The cot's sliding side panel raises and lowers at the push of a button, making it easy to reach in and soothe a crying baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it includes adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right height.

The cot is padded, has mesh sides to increase the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable which means you can keep the cot clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside cribs is compatible with most beds including divans. This is thanks to the clips and straps that attach it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it is not attached to the bed. It's packed with amazing features that were designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that while this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your baby turns six months old, and you'll have to purchase a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was an affordable cost for a cot that has these innovative features. She liked the way it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has a drop-side rail that can be easily adjusted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is perfect for mothers who breastfeed! best bedside cots 's also light, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and when traveling.

It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It is available in charcoal or oak with a variety of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number if you encounter any issues.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you would expect from a crib to your bedside, including the ability to attach it to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally, there is an inclined feature that can be used to assist infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It is also machine-washable - a must for all the spills, vomit, and snot that can be found in a newborn baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're learning to sleep independently The CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It won't feed your baby or magically put them to sleep, it will rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's most expensive models, but it comes with a lot of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and down with a single push of a switch. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't advised, since it increases the likelihood that your baby will get out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the bed properly. This is a great feature to have for peace of mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also has an option to tilt to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode that can bring them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very spacious and provides great ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's fairly mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It can also be folded up into its travel bag, which is a great option if you want to transport it. The only downside our testers noticed was that the side panel didn't flex like some of the other models, which made it difficult to observe your child from your own bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a co-sleeping crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other models. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to ease colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side allows you to feed or comfort your baby during the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to begin. It took us an hour to construct and was surprisingly simple. The only issue with the instructions was that a few pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow the instructions. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of top quality.

In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a C-section, since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot or getting them out of it.

During our tests, we found the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be extremely useful in lulling babies back to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side is also accessible to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major benefit for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that doesn't rock or have extra features such as a sound machine.
