World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is used (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate chances of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrade s. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original state which means that the player has to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
