Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair with light weight and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold means it's easy to move and is freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to an almost flat position and there's a large canopy and storage bin. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.

Air-filled tyres and good suspension will handle rough terrain well. You can also use it for jogging. However, you must wait until the baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want lightweight strollers with added features. The travel system comes with a carrycot that is flat for newborns and an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for a pushchair.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received such high marks from customers. It's incredibly light - both the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg and it's easy to construct. In fact I was able get the whole thing up and running in just five minutes, which is amazing considering that it also included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a comfortable wide, comfortable seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very easy to use. There' three wheel pushchair of room inside the basket and I like the fact that it has a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone secure!

The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which could be a problem for taller parents. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material that is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on forest and field trails and the front wheel can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to keep your little one secure on all journeys and the parking brake reliably prevents the stroller from moving even when you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to a laying position and the canopy can be opened for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit the needs of dad or mum.

If you're planning a quick jog or a longer hike The Runner is ready to accompany you on your journeys with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise an unhurried ride. The front wheel is lockable for greater stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks and the stroller folds up easily to fit in car boots and storage spaces.

Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a bit more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebar is a little higher than the ones of competitors', so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms however, overall it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth a look for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

Red Kite's Pace is a top product from the budget-friendly British brand. They are renowned for their simple, well-designed products that are essentials for parents. It's the latest and most expensive product in their bargain-priced lightweight stroller range and as with the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable which means you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace comes with some amazing design features, like a rose-gold shade on the hood, chassis, and stroller trims that truly distinguish it from. The car seat and stroller fabrics are stylish in grey, tan, and cream. You can also add the handle in leather and the bumper bar to match.

It's suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from a carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie-back positions, soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded, the Pace measures 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. Two buttons on either side are easy utilize and press to lock it in place.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis has shorter wheel length, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids eight weeks old and a toddler - on rocky pavements as well as grassy wooded paths and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle many different terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be shut or opened to let air in when needed. It's a little larger than some pushchairs but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric for the seat can be washed by machine and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also much quieter than many pushchairs and I felt confident using it in busy city streets. It has integrated accessory points, so you can attach footmuffs and parasols and also changing bags as well as snack trays and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it isn't particularly waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included), which gives your child more legroom. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to set-up and a similar time to convert it into an actual seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're taking a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit stroll in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge transforms every moment into a shared experience.
