The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as a market that would grow for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read them. Many words were replaced by foreign ones. For example dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was used.

Origins

Incorporated in 1917, Toto's beginnings mirrored Japan's development. In the beginning of its existence, the company manufactured products to meet the demands of new, modern urban housing. To do this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the nation that produced ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for greater efficiency and consistency.

The company began expanding overseas in the late 1980s in order to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other manufacturers' products in order to complement its own range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and increased the firm's global market share.

In the 1990s Toto began to focus on research and development of water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and boost profits. The company used the same just-in-time approach to its supply chain management as well as sales program. This resulted in a higher level of satisfaction with the customer.

Toto continues to invent in the toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for instance is equipped with a powerful tornado flush that is more environmentally friendly than conventional toilets. Toto uses recycled water for its manufacturing process, and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets, Toto produces bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than standard models.

The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It hosts exhibits on the most iconic products of Toto as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are made from ceramics), the history of plumbing, and products such as bath units. In an additional gallery, you will find Toto products sold all over. The museum houses the bathroom equipped with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.

Before the formation of Toto the members of the group did session work for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs' album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich and guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummer Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

click the following website

With a name as evocative as Asia you'd expect the group to be prog kings and queens however, it's actually a fairly straightforward rock band. The group was formed as a four-piece and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. But even though the band have a wide range of musical backgrounds, their biggest success was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster, but not without its share of problems. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to release the top single or they would drop them. Luckily for Toto they delivered with the help of the smash hit single "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery is a result of their previous experiences. Before forming the group, the band members worked as session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their sonic trademark has become the standard for '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.

The album starts out hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. The album also includes some jazzier, slower tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distortion AOR, which should seem like a complete blunder, but works extremely well.

After Toto IV the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band went through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite the turmoil, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The band was able to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

Tours

The band has entertained millions of fans across the world, with sold-out shows in Europe, North America and Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand. The repertoire of the band is extensive and their catalogue has amassed over one billion streams on streaming services around the world. The band's iconic music has influenced generations of fans.

Steve Lukather and Joe Williams have forged a deep colorful friendship that is thriving professionally on a global scale. In 2018, the duo celebrated their 40th anniversary of Tours Around The Sun with an incredibly successful global tour. The album of the same name landed at #5 on the Billboard 200. The latest tour of the band features their greatest hits and rarely-performed live deep cuts and a selection of songs that come from Lukather's and Williams catalogs.

TOTO has a Net Promoter Score of 20. This score is a measure of the likelihood that customers will recommend the brand. Promoters are those who rate the company highly and actively encourage others to use their products or services. Detractors are those who evaluate the company poorly and may even actively discourage others from using their products or services.

Join Toto to have a unique experience in Asia. This highlights tour includes luxurious accommodation, a cruise on a deluxe junk on Halong Bay and an exploration of Angkor Wat, a mystical temple that was once the home of the French called Indochine. It also includes a night in the charming city of Luang Prabang. This UNESCO World Heritage City is a feast for your senses. This is a trip you don't want to miss!

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was a return to a classic sextet structure and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate and less cloned earlier efforts.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live concert in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a brand new studio album a few months later and embarked on a tour around the world to promote it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new record featuring songs that were never recorded before. The album was released in 2001 as a double album titled Then & Now. It was the first album by the band without the single track "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure, and vocalist Williams suffered from a bad laryngitis infection which limited his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes along with the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of formally reforming the band. The group, which was missing Howe who was working with Yes at the time, became Toto XIV. They toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured the appearance of singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
