Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one go, without having to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its path automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another notable characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can also be programmed to avoid areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it a perfect option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect if the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great method to keep your home cleaner for longer.

There's an impressive amount of settings available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app, or via buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. automatic vacuum 's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
