The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and also find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

This device is expensive but has many smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan that it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was starting and getting its work done.

The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. robot vacuum uk will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
