The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, it's something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and efficiently. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. made a post can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to keep in mind that it has regular costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three month.

The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. These include an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots have struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was about to start or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our test, but it has some distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start cleaning, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
