Robots That Vacuum and Mop<br /><br />Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one time without the need to change devices. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra<br /><br />The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.<br /><br />Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its path automatically and clean around the objects without missing a step.<br /><br />This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.<br /><br />The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.<br /><br />The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.<br /><br />3. Dreame X40<br /><br />The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.<br /><br />The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.<br /><br />The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home clean for longer.<br /><br />There's a plethora of settings on offer which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.<br /><br />The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.<br /><br />
