Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades<br /><br />Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations applied.<br /><br />For instance, the top shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. Upgrades to physical power can increase damage from weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.<br /><br />Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.<br /><br />As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces The reroll marker is left on the space until the next successful result is rerolled. These are special stones that increase the quality of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. These stones can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.<br /><br />To upgrade equipment players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click the "level up" button. This will display a list of the item's level, and what it will become after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.<br /><br />After choosing the item to upgrade, the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.<br /><br />The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. It's an excellent option for players who want to get an edge in combat but don't want to burden their wallets. Moreover players can transfer experience and advancement of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.<br /><br />The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. There are a variety of ways to obtain these stones, such as signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components do not stack with one another, and can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require an amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.<br /><br />The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can put in equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. When players have enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will begin the upgrade process.<br /><br />An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.<br /><br />Once an item reaches the maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available to it. When an item attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to the track will be offered at discounts.<br /><br />Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to provide an extra effect or attribute bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.<br /><br />Requirements<br /><br />Upgrades to items give players the ability to boost certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).<br /><br />The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide additional effects or an increase in item level. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, such as crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.<br /><br />Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.<br /><br />For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also adds an extra 20% chance of blocking.
