WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). item upgrading are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from another set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can use Flightstones, which are a general upgrade currency available to everyone players, or crests that are more specific and consumed during upgrades on specific levels of the item. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for gear of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
